The first rain of Autum
I am listening to the rain outside and can't believe I actually have a jacket on. The seasons are changing and with it a little bit colder weather that is breaking the relentless heat of the last 2 months.
Language learning the last 2 months has taken a lot out of me. I am very tired and also got the flu with an ear infection. For the last couple of nights I did not sleep well at all and are hoping to recover from it soon.
Through the sounds of the rains comes the sounds of the two closest Mosques' call to prayer. It sounds louder tonight.
So what has happened the last two months back in Skopje. It was summer holiday for everyone around us, but we kept on schooling to try and finish our year to start of the new year on a new schedule. Danie and I have language lessons everyday for an hour, we are visiting people in the neighborhood and learning to cook the way Macedonians cook. The food our neighbor Betty makes is really good! Wish I could cook like that.
Well school started again here in Macedonia and the kids hope to participate in a couple of outdoor activities. Zane would like to play baseball again, Neo-Rie would like to learn ice skating. Jac.... well I am not sure. Right now he also want to ice skate, so let's see what happens.
We only have 3 more weeks of school left for the year. I will post an update on the homeschooling blog soon, I am just rushing to finish and then will have time to write again.
On the Sevgji front, things are taking a really long time and sometimes I feel really discouraged but I know I can not give up hope, even if it seems there is no hope I know my hope is in Him and He will not fail me.
