Our Life

So this is it. We slept in our bed, that we had for 12 years, for the very last time. Today is the day our house will not be ours anymore. For the next 5 months we will be in transit. Let the journey begin. Do I know what I am letting myself into? No But this is it.

Our time here at ASM is running out and our house is starting to emty of furniture. The children are playing with their friends and I am packing the final bags. We will miss this place and the all the friends we have made here, but we are leaving with the knowing that we are in His plan and His hands. Yesterday the children enjoyed a great day fishing with friends at Timon's Birthday party. The children are also having their last sleepovers and Danie was filling up the tire with sand in the playing area. We sure will miss the open spaces here! I can't believe how the quick our time has gone here.We loved it here in the Low-veld and will miss the people and the weather and the open play areas where the children loved to play. I will post some photos later of our house and the packing we we are busy with. The children are getting excited but also a bit sad to leave their friends and their home for the last 18 months. They told me I must tell all their friends that they will come and visit again. I have created a Facebook page for them it is called Kids van Niekerk, if anyone would like to keep in touch with them that way. I am managing the page for them but soon they will be able to type themselves. We have also changed our Skype address so be on the lookout for that in our newsletter. Nadat ek gesukkel het om aan die slaap te raak, my kop te besig, en nie baie vas geslaap het nie, met drome en muskiete wat pla, word ek nog vroeg wakker gemaak deur Jac wat vuurwarm is. Nie net oor sy hele lyfie nie, maar ook in sy doek! Nou sit ek maar hier en gaan nou vir my koffie maak want "wie op die aarde", soos Neo-Rie haarself sal uitdruk,  kan nou weer aan die slaap raak. My gedagtes hou my wakker. Soveel dinge en soveel senarios speel in my kop af, dat ek nie kan rus nie.Ek is hier en daar en dan raak alles sommer deurmekaar. Wil te veel gedoen kry en te veel in my tasse pak en voel skuldig oor dinge wat agterbly, nie net fisiese dinge nie, maar ook dinge soos nuusbriewe, homeschooling, die blog, die kinders se plakboeke en scrapbooking en ook hulle elkeen se blogs. Te veel hooi op my vurk?   Ja altyd, en dit sit vas aan die vurk ek kry dit nie afgeskud nie. Die lewe loop draaie met jou, en sodra jy dink jy kan dit nou hanteer, kom daar weer nuwe dinge o...
